Playbook · Shopify pickup points / carrier pickup points not showing

Shopify pickup points not showing — carrier access / service points missing at checkout.

Written for a Shopify owner or ops lead whose carrier pickup points (UPS Access Point, FedEx Hold at Location, DHL Service Point, and similar hold-at-location options) never appear at checkout. DIY-first: confirm pickup points are enabled for the market and carrier; prove Shopify Shipping or the carrier app returns mapped locations for a known eligible ZIP; check package weight / size limits; stop treating local delivery zones, ship-to-customer shipping profiles, Delivery Customization Functions, or BOPIS / local pickup in-store as the same bug. Distinct from local delivery zones wrong, shipping profiles / zones wrong, delivery customization Function failing, and local pickup / BOPIS missing. Related checkout shipping symptom-only blanks: checkout shipping rates wrong. Related carrier-calculated timeouts: carrier service callback timeout. No earnings claims, no invented case studies.

01

Carrier pickup points missing — not local delivery zones, shipping profiles, delivery customization, or in-store local pickup.

Several products can look like “pickup is wrong at checkout.” They do not share a fix. This page is only when carrier pickup points / access points / service points never appear (or vanish) at checkout — a third-party location where the carrier holds the parcel for the buyer. Local delivery radius or postal / ZIP list wrong so same-day / local routes never offer is local delivery zones wrong. Admin Settings → Shipping and delivery shipping profiles / zones with wrong countries or ship-to-customer rates is shipping profiles / zones wrong. A Delivery Customization Function renaming, hiding, or reordering rates is delivery customization Function failing. Buy online, pick up in store / local pickup at your own location is local pickup / BOPIS missing. This page is only: carrier pickup points missing at checkout.

Six ordinary reasons carrier pickup points stay hidden: pickup points / access points not enabled for the market or carrier; Shopify Shipping or the carrier app not live / not returning locations; buyer address outside mapped service-point coverage; package weight or dimensions over the pickup-point limit; Delivery Customization Function or checkout app hiding the pickup option after Shopify would have offered it; you tested local delivery zones, shipping-profile countries, or BOPIS local pickup instead. Walk them in that order. You already pay for Shopify Shipping and delivery (and often a carrier account). You do not need another SaaS to prove a pickup-points miss.

02

Prove pickup-point enablement, Markets eligibility, carrier app, package limits, and test addresses.

Open Settings → Shipping and delivery plus Shopify Shipping / the carrier or pickup-point app for each market that should offer hold-at-location. Capture: pickup points / access points enabled yes/no, supported carriers and countries, calculated vs flat rates, package weight / size caps, and whether the product sits on a profile that can use those carrier rates. Confirm Markets country / currency for the test buyer.

Side-by-side checkout: logged-out private window to a known eligible ZIP near a published UPS / FedEx / DHL (or similar) pickup location (should show pickup points) and an out-of-coverage control (should not). If Local delivery is the missing option — not carrier pickup points — leave this page and use local delivery zones wrong. If ship-to-customer rates / countries are wrong but pickup points are not the product, open shipping profiles / zones wrong. If rates rename or vanish only after a Function app, open delivery customization Function failing. If Pickup at your store / BOPIS is missing (not carrier access points), open local pickup / BOPIS missing.

03

Fix enablement, Markets, carrier service, package limits, Delivery Customization hides, and retest.

Align the market enable → carrier / app live → package within pickup limits → buyer near a mapped point → Delivery Customization not hiding → logged-out retest chain: turn on pickup points for the right market and carrier; confirm Shopify Shipping or the carrier callback returns locations (not a timeout / empty payload); shrink package defaults that exceed pickup-point caps; use a test address inside mapped coverage; disable Function / app hides that remove pickup options; save and retest. Do not edit local delivery radius / postal lists and expect carrier pickup points to appear. Do not treat BOPIS local pickup toggles as carrier access-point settings.

Retest with a known eligible address (private window). Confirm carrier pickup points appear with expected labels before any Function app runs. Related symptom-only shipping blanks: checkout shipping rates wrong. Related carrier-calculated timeout (not pickup-point enablement): carrier service callback timeout.

04

Checklist and how to prove pickup points appear for an eligible address.

Checklist: (1) screenshot Shipping and delivery / carrier app pickup-point settings for the market, (2) confirm Shopify Shipping or carrier service is live and returning locations, (3) note package weight / size vs pickup caps, (4) confirm product shipping profile can use those carrier rates, (5) logged-out checkout to a known eligible ZIP near a published pickup point vs out-of-coverage control, (6) if rates rename/hide only via Function, or local delivery / shipping profiles / BOPIS is the real bug, switch playbooks.

Prove it: after enablement and coverage hygiene, carrier pickup points appear for the eligible address and stay absent for the out-of-coverage control. If local delivery geography is the only failure, open local delivery zones wrong.

05

You tested local delivery zones, shipping profiles, delivery customization, or local pickup instead.

Local delivery zones wrong radius / postal is local delivery zones wrong. Shipping profiles / zones wrong rates or countries is shipping profiles / zones wrong. Delivery Customization Function failing is delivery customization Function failing. Local pickup / BOPIS missing is local pickup / BOPIS missing. Carrier-calculated callback timeout is carrier service callback timeout. Checkout shipping rates symptom-only is checkout shipping rates wrong. None of those finish a carrier pickup-points enablement / coverage miss.

Finish prove market enable / carrier app / package limits / eligible-address retest first. Only then open the related playbook that matches the remaining symptom.

When to stay DIY vs pay $997.

Stay DIY if you can spend one afternoon on the list above: enable carrier pickup points for the right market; confirm the carrier app returns locations; fix package limits; and stop treating local delivery zones, shipping profiles, Delivery Customization, or BOPIS local pickup as the same bug. That is the whole playbook. No agency required. Short answers also live on the merchant FAQ. Related pages: local delivery zones wrong, shipping profiles / zones wrong, delivery customization Function failing, local pickup / BOPIS missing, checkout shipping rates wrong.

Pay for help when the work is not the pickup-point toggle — it is connecting the stack you already have so lead capture is not dying in DMs, cart / ops exceptions land in a channel you already check, and the live store is one workflow instead of a spreadsheet plus a Slack bot you forgot. That is the Latch AI Ops install.

What $997 USD one-time buys: lead capture on the live store, ops alerts in a channel you already check, and a checkout-ready workflow. 72 hours after collaborator access, not after payment. One live Shopify store. Access plus a delivery thread. Store URL collected at checkout. Not a SaaS seat, not an upsell retainer, not a conversion guarantee, not a brand or theme job.

Other shops’ public ranges, not testimonials: a checkout / ops install typically runs $500–$2,500. A full ops consulting block typically runs $2,000–$5,000. $997 is the cheap end of that work, sold as a 72-hour install of three systems — not as an earnings number or uptime claim.

What it does not buy: more orders, automatic Plus eligibility, a custom pickup-routing SaaS, or a case study. Latch AI Ops has not published customer proof because there are no customers yet. You are buying the install.

Checkout is on Whop. Operator is Nico. United States offer. You can revoke collaborator access after handoff. We do not take owner passwords.
