Shop Pay Installments missing at checkout — not Shop Pay button, Payment Customization, card declined.
Several products can look like “financing never shows.” They do not share a settings panel. This page is only when Shop Pay Installments / Affirm-style installment financing is missing as a checkout payment option — eligibility, Markets, product price floors, Shopify Payments — while cards or Shop Pay wallet may still appear. The Shop Pay / dynamic checkout button row missing on PDP or cart is Shop Pay button missing. A Payment Customization Function that hides or reorders gateways is payment customization not hiding. Cards that decline after the buyer submits are Shopify Payments card declined. Broader Shop Pay / accelerated checkout eligibility without the Installments-specific floor stays shop-pay-not-showing. This page is only: Shopify Shop Pay Installments / Affirm-style installment option missing at checkout (eligibility, Markets, product price floors, Shopify Payments).
Six ordinary reasons Installments stay missing: Shop Pay Installments toggled off under Shopify Payments; buyer Market / country / currency where installments are not offered; cart total below the installment price floor; gift cards, subscriptions, or product types Affirm / Installments exclude; a Payment Customization Function hiding financing; or you tested Shop Pay button missing, Payment Customization, or card declined instead. Walk them in that order. You already pay for Shopify Payments. You do not need another “BNPL SaaS” to prove why Installments is absent.
02
Prove eligibility, Markets, product price floors, and Shopify Payments on a live checkout.
Open a live checkout (not only Theme editor preview) with a cart that should qualify. Capture: Settings → Payments → Shopify Payments live and Shop Pay Installments enabled; buyer country / Market / currency where installments are offered; cart subtotal above the published Installments / Affirm minimum; line items that are not gift-card / subscription-only / other excluded types.
Screenshot the payment step with Installments absent. If the Shop Pay / dynamic checkout button is missing on PDP or cart but Installments is not the symptom, leave this page and use Shop Pay button missing. If every gateway still shows in the wrong order because a Function is Draft or misconfigured, open payment customization not hiding. If Installments appears and then the card / financing attempt declines, open Shopify Payments card declined.
03
Fix Installments toggle, Markets eligibility, price floors, and conflicting payment customizations.
Align Shopify Payments: enable Shop Pay Installments under Payments; confirm the shop is in a region where Installments / Affirm is available; keep Shopify Payments live (not only a third-party card gateway). Raise the test cart past the installment price floor; remove gift cards / subscription-only lines that exclude financing.
Move the buyer into an eligible Market / country / currency, then retest logged-out. Pause a Payment Customization Function that hides financing methods, then place a fresh checkout. Related wallet / accelerated checkout without the Installments floor: shop-pay-not-showing. Related Markets presentment issues (wrong currency, not missing Installments): Markets currency wrong.

Checklist and how to prove Shop Pay Installments appears on a new checkout.
Checklist: (1) screenshot payment step with Installments absent, (2) confirm Shopify Payments live + Shop Pay Installments on, (3) confirm buyer Market / country offers installments, (4) raise cart above the price floor, (5) remove ineligible product types, (6) pause a Payment Customization that hides financing, (7) retest logged-out on a new checkout, (8) if only Shop Pay button missing, Payment Customization, or card declined remains, switch playbooks.
Prove it: new checkout → Shop Pay Installments / Affirm-style option visible for an eligible cart; a cart below the floor still hides Installments on purpose; cards / Shop Pay wallet still work when expected. If Installments shows and then declines, open Shopify Payments card declined.
05
You tested Shop Pay button missing, Payment Customization, or card declined instead.
Shop Pay / dynamic checkout buttons missing on PDP or cart is Shop Pay button missing. Payment Customization Function not hiding/reordering gateways is payment customization not hiding. High card-decline rates after submit are Shopify Payments card declined. Broader Shop Pay eligibility without Installments-specific floors is shop-pay-not-showing. None of those finish an Installments bug where financing never appears as a checkout option for an otherwise eligible cart.
Finish prove eligibility → fix Payments / Markets / price floors → new-checkout proof first. Only then open the related playbook that matches the remaining symptom.

When to stay DIY vs pay $997.
Stay DIY if you can spend one afternoon on the list above: prove Installments on a live checkout, fix Shopify Payments / Installments toggle and Markets eligibility, clear product price floors and ineligible line types, and stop treating Shop Pay button missing / Payment Customization / card declined as the same bug. That is the whole playbook. No agency required. Short answers also live on the merchant FAQ. Pay for help when the work is not the Installments toggle — it is connecting the stack you already have so lead capture is not dying in DMs, cart / ops exceptions land in a channel you already check, and the live store is one workflow instead of a spreadsheet plus a Slack bot you forgot. That is the Latch AI Ops install.
What $997 USD one-time buys: lead capture on the live store, ops alerts in a channel you already check, and a checkout-ready workflow. 72 hours after collaborator access, not after payment. One live Shopify store. Access plus a delivery thread. Store URL collected at checkout. Not a SaaS seat, not a BNPL retainer, not a conversion guarantee, not a brand or theme job.
Other shops’ public ranges, not testimonials: a checkout / ops install typically runs $500–$2,500. A full ops consulting block typically runs $2,000–$5,000. $997 is the cheap end of that work, sold as a 72-hour install of three systems — not as an earnings number or uptime claim.
What it does not buy: more orders, automatic Affirm approval, a Plus license, or a case study. Latch AI Ops has not published customer proof because there are no customers yet. You are buying the install.
Checkout is on Whop. Operator is Nico. United States offer. You can revoke collaborator access after handoff. We do not take owner passwords.
