Playbook · Shopify Bundles not showing / wrong inventory

Shopify Bundles app products not showing — or inventory is wrong.

Written for a Shopify DTC owner whose Shopify Bundles app product will not appear on the storefront, shows Sold out while components still have stock, or inventory math on the bundle parent does not match component stock — usually the bundle parent Draft / unpublished to Online Store, a component out of stock at the selling location, Continue selling / Track quantity mismatch, theme product template missing the Bundles app block, or a Markets / catalog exclusion. DIY-first: prove parent Active + channel, prove limiting component stock, restore the app block, prove a real add-to-cart. Distinct from variant picker not updating, cart drawer not updating, product metafields not showing, discount code not applying, and Shopify Functions discount not applying. No earnings claims, no invented case studies.

01

Bundles not showing / wrong inventory — not variant picker, cart drawer, metafields, discounts, Functions.

Several products can look like “the kit is broken on the PDP.” They do not share a settings panel. This page is only when a Shopify Bundles app product is missing on the Online Store storefront, or inventory for the bundle parent is wrong vs component stock. Price / image / ATC stuck on a normal multi-variant product is variant-picker-not-updating. AJAX cart / drawer not refreshing after add is cart-drawer-not-updating. Custom fields / dynamic sources blank is product-metafields-not-showing. A promo code that will not apply is discount-code-not-applying. Automatic / Checkout UI Functions discounts are shopify-functions-discount-not-applying. This page is only: Shopify Bundles app / product bundles not showing on storefront or wrong inventory.

Six ordinary reasons the kit stays dead or lies about stock: the bundle parent is Draft / Archived or not published to Online Store (or the Market you are browsing), a component SKU is out of stock or not tracked at the selling location so the parent shows Sold out, Continue selling when out of stock is on for a component while the parent still blocks, the Bundles app was uninstalled / reinstalled and the parent is no longer a real bundle, the live theme product template is missing the Bundles app block or an older kit app is fighting it, or you are debugging variant picker / cart drawer / metafields / discount codes / Functions instead. Walk them in that order. You already pay for Shopify and the Bundles app. You do not need another bundler SaaS to publish the parent and restock the limiting component.

02

Prove bundle parent status, sales channels, and Bundles app ownership.

In Shopify admin → Products, open the bundle parent (not only a component). Confirm Status is Active. Under Sales channels / Markets, confirm Online Store (and the Market you are testing) is checked. Open the Bundles app and confirm this product still appears as a managed bundle with the expected components and quantities — not a leftover plain product after an uninstall.

Honest proof: screenshot Active status, Online Store / Market publish, and the Bundles app composition for that parent. If the parent URL 404s or redirects to a collection because the product is unpublished, fix publish before you touch theme Liquid. A B2B catalog hiding wholesale SKUs is a different product — leave b2b-catalog-not-showing alone unless this is a Plus company catalog issue.

03

Prove component stock, locations, and inventory policy.

For each component on the bundle, open Inventory and confirm Track quantity and available units at the location(s) Online Store sells from. Sellable bundle quantity is limited by the scarcest component ÷ units required per kit — not by a fake parent-only stock field you typed by hand. If one component is 0 at the online location while a store location still has stock, the storefront correctly shows Sold out until you transfer or restock the online location.

Check Continue selling when out of stock on components vs the parent. Multi-location column confusion is a related but different playbook at multi-location-inventory-wrong; POS ↔ online sync alone is shopify-pos-inventory-not-syncing. This page stays on Bundles parent + component math for the kit.

04

Fix theme app block / product template and prove storefront render.

On the live theme, open the product template used by the bundle parent. Confirm the Shopify Bundles app block (or app embed the Bundles docs require) is present and enabled — theme edits and OS 2.0 template swaps often drop it. Disable a second kit / bundle / BOGO app that hijacks the same product form. Hard-refresh the PDP on a private window and confirm the bundle UI, price, and Add to cart render.

Honest proof: screenshots of the theme editor with the Bundles block on the live product template, the storefront PDP showing the kit, and one successful cart line for the bundle parent. App embeds that never load at all belong on app-embed-not-loading. Theme publish / save failures stay on theme-editor-publish-failing.

05

You tested variant picker, cart drawer, metafields, discount codes, or Functions instead.

Stuck swatches / price / media on a normal product is variant-picker-not-updating. Stale AJAX cart drawer is cart-drawer-not-updating. Blank custom fields / dynamic sources is product-metafields-not-showing. Promo codes that will not apply is discount-code-not-applying. Automatic / Checkout UI Functions discounts is shopify-functions-discount-not-applying. None of those replace proving bundle parent Active + Online Store publish, limiting component stock, and the Bundles app block on the live product template.

Finish the Bundles storefront + inventory proofs first. Only then open the related playbook that matches the remaining symptom.

When to stay DIY vs pay $997.

Stay DIY if you can spend one afternoon on the list above: prove bundle parent Active + Online Store / Market publish, prove Bundles app still owns the composition, restock or transfer the limiting component at the online location, restore the Bundles app block on the live product template, prove a real add-to-cart, and stop confusing variant picker / cart drawer / metafields / discount codes / Functions with this kit path. That is the whole playbook. No agency required. Short answers also live on the merchant FAQ. Pay for help when the work is not the Bundles checklist — it is connecting the stack you already have so lead capture is not dying in a tab, checkout and ops exceptions land in a channel you already check, and the live store is one workflow instead of a spreadsheet plus a Slack bot you forgot. That is the Latch AI Ops install.

What $997 USD one-time buys: lead capture on the live store, ops alerts in a channel you already check, and a checkout-ready workflow. 72 hours after collaborator access, not after payment. One live Shopify store. Access plus a delivery thread. Store URL collected at checkout. Not a SaaS seat, not a Bundles agency retainer, not a conversion guarantee, not a brand or theme job.

Other shops’ public ranges, not testimonials: a checkout / ops install typically runs $500–$2,500. A full ops consulting block typically runs $2,000–$5,000. $997 is the cheap end of that work, sold as a 72-hour install of three systems — not as an earnings number or conversion-lift claim.

What it does not buy: more orders, recovered revenue, a forever Bundles SLA, a custom kit-builder rebuild retainer, or a case study. Latch AI Ops has not published customer proof because there are no customers yet. You are buying the install.

Checkout is on Whop. Operator is Nico. United States offer. You can revoke collaborator access after handoff. We do not take owner passwords.
