Playbook · Shopify unit price wrong
Unit price shows — but the $/unit is wrong.
Written for a Shopify owner who sees unit price / price-per-unit with the wrong amount — wrong $/100g, oz labeled as ml, Markets currency skew on only the unit line, theme Liquid dividing by the wrong reference quantity — or you chased missing unit price, tax-inclusive VAT, compare-at badges, inventory item cost / COGS, or rich snippets instead. DIY-first: prove Admin measure vs storefront $/unit → fix measurement / Markets / theme math → retest. Distinct from unit price not showing, tax-inclusive pricing wrong, compare-at badge wrong, inventory item cost wrong, and rich snippets missing. Soft-link currency converter wrong when every price is the wrong currency, and compare-at price not showing when the sale strikethrough is the real gap. No earnings claims, no invented case studies.

Unit price wrong — not missing, tax-inclusive, compare-at, inventory cost, or rich snippets.
Several “price looks off” bugs look alike. They do not share a fix. This page is only when unit price / price-per-unit renders but the number or unit is wrong — Admin says 500 g / $10 so shoppers should see ~$2.00/100g, but the PDP shows $20.00/100g, or “per oz” when the measure is ml. Unit price missing entirely is shopify-unit-price-not-showing. Tax-inclusive / VAT included storefront vs checkout is shopify-tax-inclusive-pricing-wrong. Compare-at / sale badge percent wrong is shopify-compare-at-badge-wrong. Inventory item cost / COGS in reports is shopify-inventory-item-cost-wrong. Product rich results / JSON-LD is shopify-rich-snippets-missing.
Soft links when the bug is adjacent: every price in the wrong currency is shopify-currency-converter-wrong. Sale strikethrough missing is shopify-compare-at-price-not-showing. This playbook stays on Admin unit_price_measurement / measure fields → Markets presentment → theme unit-price Liquid → storefront $/unit matches math.
02
Prove Admin measure/reference vs storefront $/unit and Markets.
Open the variant in Admin. Note Price, and the unit price / measurement fields: quantity, unit type (g, kg, ml, oz…), reference value, and reference unit. On a calculator, divide Price by (quantity / reference) for the expected $/reference. Screenshot the PDP unit-price line next to that math. Soft-check Markets: presentment currency and tax-inclusive display for that Market — does only the unit line skew, or every price? Soft-check theme Product price settings and Liquid for unit_price / unit_price_measurement. Soft- check EU/UK labeling apps that inject a second unit-price string. Soft-check recent CSV / Matrixify imports that set wrong reference_unit or quantity.
If the unit-price line is blank or hidden, stop here and use shopify-unit-price-not-showing. If the main price includes/excludes VAT wrong vs checkout, use shopify-tax-inclusive-pricing-wrong. If profit / COGS reports are off but storefront unit price looks fine, that is shopify-inventory-item-cost-wrong — not this page.
03
Repair measurement fields, Markets, theme Liquid — then retest.
Correct the variant unit price measurement: quantity and unit type must match the physical pack; reference value/unit must match how you want shoppers to compare (often 100 g / 100 ml / 1 oz). Re-import CSV columns with the right reference_unit if an import wiped them. Align Markets currency and tax display so the unit line uses the same presentment as Price. Fix theme Liquid that hard-codes a divisor or ignores unit_price_measurement. Pause a second labeling app that overwrites native unit price with stale metafields.
Honest retest: Admin measure → calculator expected $/unit → storefront unit-price line matches on the Market you sell in → hard refresh / alternate device. If unit price disappears after the fix, switch to shopify-unit-price-not-showing. If every price is the wrong currency, use shopify-currency-converter-wrong.

You tested unit price missing, tax-inclusive, compare-at, inventory cost, or rich snippets instead.
Unit price not showing is shopify-unit-price-not-showing. Tax-inclusive pricing wrong is shopify-tax-inclusive-pricing-wrong. Compare-at badge wrong is shopify-compare-at-badge-wrong. Inventory item cost wrong is shopify-inventory-item-cost-wrong. Rich snippets missing is shopify-rich-snippets-missing.
The only honest test for this page: unit price / price-per-unit is visible and the amount or unit does not match Admin measure math for that Market. Anything else is a different product.

When to stay DIY vs pay $997.
Stay DIY if you can spend one afternoon on the list above: screenshot Admin measure vs PDP $/unit, fix measurement fields and theme Liquid, align Markets presentment, retest. That is the whole playbook. No agency required. Short answers also live on the merchant FAQ. Related pages: unit price not showing, tax-inclusive pricing wrong, currency converter wrong.
Pay for help when the work is not the measure fields themselves — it is connecting the stack you already have so pricing / unit- price / Markets / theme exceptions land in a channel you already check, and the live store is one workflow instead of a spreadsheet plus a Slack bot you forgot. That is the Latch AI Ops install.
What $997 USD one-time buys: lead capture on the live store, ops alerts in a channel you already check, and a checkout-ready workflow. 72 hours after collaborator access, not after payment. One live Shopify store. Access plus a delivery thread. Store URL collected at checkout. Not a SaaS seat, not a theme rebuild retainer, not a conversion guarantee, not a brand or theme job.
Other shops' public ranges, not testimonials: a checkout / ops install typically runs $500–$2,500. A full ops consulting block typically runs $2,000–$5,000. $997 is the cheap end of that work, sold as a 72-hour install of three systems — not as an earnings number or conversion-lift claim.
What it does not buy: more orders, recovered revenue, a forever unit-price guarantee, or a case study. Latch AI Ops has not published customer proof because there are no customers yet. You are buying the install.
Checkout is on Whop. Operator is Nico. United States offer. You can revoke collaborator access after handoff. We do not take owner passwords.
