Playbook · Shopify product badges not showing

Sale / New / Bestseller badges missing on cards.

Written for a Shopify owner whose product badges are not showing — Sale, New, Bestseller, or custom promo badges missing on PDP media or collection product cards — or you chased trust seals or wrong compare-at % instead. DIY-first: prove theme badge block / metafield / tag / CSS / app / Markets → enable → retest. Distinct from trust badge not showing and compare-at badge wrong. Soft-link compare-at price not showing when strikethrough price is the leftover gap. Soft-link trust badges not showing when the whole trust/payment row is missing. No earnings claims, no invented case studies.

Product badges not showing — not trust seals, not wrong compare-at %.

Several “badge” bugs look alike. They do not share a fix. This page is only when Sale / New / Bestseller (or custom promo) product badges are missing on PDP media or collection product cards. Trust / security seal / payment-icon slot blank is still shopify-trust-badge-not-showing. Compare-at Sale % wrong or stale is shopify-compare-at-badge-wrong.

Soft-check shopify-compare-at-price-not-showing when strikethrough price is the leftover gap, and soft-link shopify-trust-badges-not-showing when the whole trust/payment badge row never appears — not when Sale / New / Bestseller product badges are the gap.

02

Prove theme badge block vs metafield / tag vs CSS vs app vs Markets.

On Current theme (not a draft), open a product that should show Sale / New / Bestseller (incognito). Soft-check the badge node is missing from the DOM on PDP and collection cards (not only display:none). Soft-check theme product-card / media badge settings (show sale badge, new-in days, bestseller metafield). Soft-check product tags / metafields the rule reads. Soft-check CSS not zero-size / overflow-hidden / z-index under the image. Soft-check badge / promo App embeds. Soft-check Markets / localization. Soft-check you did not test trust-seal blank or wrong compare-at % instead.

Capture: product handle, collection template, screenshot of missing badge vs Admin tags/metafields, theme badge settings, App embeds toggle, and mobile/desktop on Current.

03

Enable badge block, bind rules, clear CSS/app fights; retest.

On Current, enable the theme Sale / New / Bestseller badge on product and collection templates. Soft-check tag or metafield rules match live products (not placeholder). Soft-check App embeds for badge apps after save. Soft-check CSS not hiding .badge / .product-badge while an empty shell remains. Soft-check mobile/desktop and Markets. Publish Current, hard-refresh desktop and phone.

Honest retest: Sale / New / Bestseller badges appear on PDP and collection cards — not only Network 200 without UI. Soft-link shopify-compare-at-badge-wrong when % off is wrong. Soft-link shopify-trust-badge-not-showing when seals are the leftover gap. Soft-link shopify-compare-at-price-not-showing when strikethrough price is missing.

04

You tested trust seals or wrong compare-at % instead.

Trust / security seal / payment-icon slot blank is still shopify-trust-badge-not-showing. Compare-at Sale % wrong or stale is shopify-compare-at-badge-wrong. Strikethrough compare-at price missing is shopify-compare-at-price-not-showing. Whole trust/payment badge row missing is shopify-trust-badges-not-showing.

The only honest test for this page: Sale / New / Bestseller product badges appear on PDP and collection cards — while trust seals and compare-at % paths may still work.

When to stay DIY vs pay $997.

Stay DIY if you can spend one afternoon on the list above: prove theme badge block vs metafield / tag vs CSS vs app vs Markets, soft-check apps, enable and retest. That is the whole playbook. No agency required. Short answers also live on the merchant FAQ. Related pages: trust badge not showing, compare-at badge wrong, compare-at price not showing.

Pay for help when the work is not the product-badges-not-showing wiring itself — it is connecting the stack you already have so storefront / product-badges-not-showing exception alerts land in a channel you already check, and the live store is one workflow instead of a spreadsheet plus a Slack bot you forgot. That is the Latch AI Ops install.

What $997 USD one-time buys: lead capture on the live store, ops alerts in a channel you already check, and a checkout-ready workflow. 72 hours after collaborator access, not after payment. One live Shopify store. Access plus a delivery thread. Store URL collected at checkout. Not a SaaS seat, not a theme rebuild retainer, not a conversion guarantee, not a brand or theme job.

Other shops' public ranges, not testimonials: a checkout / ops install typically runs $500–$2,500. A full ops consulting block typically runs $2,000–$5,000. $997 is the cheap end of that work, sold as a 72-hour install of three systems — not as an earnings number or conversion-lift claim.

What it does not buy: more orders, recovered revenue, a forever product-badges-not-showing guarantee, or a case study. Latch AI Ops has not published customer proof because there are no customers yet. You are buying the install.

Checkout is on Whop. Operator is Nico. United States offer. You can revoke collaborator access after handoff. We do not take owner passwords.
